The service
Antecedint provides prior-art retrieval, claim comparison, and patent-data tools over a corpus of published patents, delivered through a web app, an API, and an MCP server. These Terms govern your use of all of them.
Not legal advice
Antecedint is a research and retrieval tool. It does not provide legal advice, and nothing it returns is legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship. Prior-art search is inherently incomplete: we do not warrant that a result set contains every relevant reference. Have a qualified attorney review any patentability, validity, or freedom-to-operate determination before you rely on it.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to breach access controls, scrape beyond your plan’s limits, resell the raw output as your own dataset without a data agreement, or use the service to build a competing retrieval index from our outputs.
Accounts and access
API and app access is granted by key or account. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your account. We may suspend access for non-payment or for use that threatens the integrity of the service.
Intellectual property
The underlying patents are public records. The models, rankings, structured data, benchmarks, and software are ours or our licensors’. You keep ownership of the queries and content you submit; you grant us the limited right to process them to return results, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability
The service is offered as-is and as-available. Early features may change or be withdrawn. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Antecedint is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on search results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product grows. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
